Designed with one thing in mind: your business
A cab interior design that is intuitively tailored to the precise needs of the driver is vital to successful deployment in any and every context. Everything – from the way the switches are arranged to the clearly structured multifunctional display – focuses on one goal and one goal alone: keeping the driver‘s mind on the traffic.
Multifunctional display
Warning alerts are kept apart from functional indicators. Both aspects, together with all vital information about the vehicle (including fuel consumption, temperature, oil level and gear displays) are arranged clearly and intuitively. A special gauge integrated in the rev counter always lets you know how much AdBlue you have left
Joystick gearshift
A dashboard-mounted gearshift makes shifting more convenient, makes it easier to move around the cab and frees up more legroom for the third seat (next to the driver).
Multifunctional lever
Built into the right-hand side of the steering column, a multifunctional lever combines wiper control with exhaust brake control as standard. This ergonomic arrangement allows drivers to activate either function without taking their hands off the wheel.
Ergonomic design
Two multifunctional levers immediately to the left and right of the steering wheel are reserved for the most important functions. The air conditioning controls are within easy reach for passengers too. The angle and height of the steering wheel itself are infinitely adjustable.
A driver-friendly cab
Isringhausen seats keep your back comfortable and relaxed. Swivel seats are available on request for the driver. All driver‘s seat variants also feature an adjustable lumbar support as standard. The armrest for the middle passenger seat can be folded away and contains a document tray. If you order dual-zone climate control, a second ventilation unit optimises climate control for the back row, too. A large storage compartment is also hidden away under the back row of seats.
Automatic climate control
High-performance automatic climate control is available as an option for the new Canter. Simply choose the settings you require and the system does the rest, quickly cooling or heating the air to the ideal temperature.
Trays and pockets
A series of trays and pockets are within easy reach of the driver: beneath the dashboard, in the doors, above the windscreen, and next to the double DIN slot for the radio and tachograph. The Canter also has a lockable glove compartment and a pocket on the rear cab wall as standard. The built-in cupholder can be pulled out or pushed in and has plenty room for canned drinks and coffee mugs.
Safety concept
Active safety:
- FUSO Rise with integrated underride and side-impact protection.
- ABS (optional for 3.5 t) and powerful disc brakes all round.
- Suspension maintains excellent directional stability even when vehicle is fully laden.
Passive safety:
- Airbags for driver and co-driver (optional)
- Three-point seat belts (with belt tensioners in combination with airbags)
- Steering wheel with integrated impact protection
